Having stayed before, this was my first choice for accommodation to check availability for my next stay and was glad that there was availability! The location was perfect and the setting for the property is amazing! The grounds are well kept, clean and inviting. Sam and his trusty 4 legged companion met me as I arrived with smiles and led me to my upgraded room, which was stunning. Would love to have stayed longer and taken full advantage of the bath and private patio, but I arrived late and it was a work visit! But would love to go back on a social visit! The cooked to order breakfast using local produce was amazing and set me up for the day perfectly! Thankyou Sam and your staff for a perfect stay!

I was contacted by Sam (owner) to ask about arrival time so he could make sure he was there for my arrival and he was there when I arrived later in the evening. The property is sat within well kept grounds and looked amazing. Sam led me to my immaculate room and talked about the facilities and breakfast. The room was spacious and had a large en-suite, which again was very well presented. I messaged to provide my order for breakfast and this was cooked to perfection using local produce. Overall, I can’t rate this property high enough and will definitely look at this property first if I’m back in the area.

Sam, the host, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The room was beautiful - large and luxurious, with a bath in the room and a shower in the bathroom. There was a table and chairs and a private area outside the room. The garden was gorgeous and we had the right kind of weather to enjoy it. Sam gave us personal recommendations for eating in the area. The lovely town of Houghton and its historic mill was just a 15 minute walk and there were some nice walks in the area. (My partner has a dog phobia but Sam kindly kept the dogs inside while she was coming and going.)

Horwood

The grounds the property are set on are beautiful, I arrived later than expected and the hosts were so welcoming and friendly, provided me with fresh milk for the fridge. Bonus was having Sky TV in the room and a chair to relax on rather than just laid on the bed like so many other hotels. I thought that the finer details were definitely considered and the Elemis products in the bathroom I.e. shampoo, conditioner and lotion, were a bonus. Amazing breakfast and lots selection on the menu.

There was great consideration when setting out the rooms eg make up wipes, bath robes, different teas on tray etc. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts if there was an issues. Breakfast was ordered the evening before with a time that you would be down which was great, this was done by message.
